Theres a first sketch, which is than refined by hand, scanned and brought into illustrator to redo the lines as a vectored logo. Vectored logos can be used for all media purposes, from carving the logo into wood by CNC machine with very clean lines, to enlarging the logo to billboard size without losing any Image quality.
